desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_45518764841_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-627_22121785923_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. skywalk-gibraltar-2-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367549160_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23217113572_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival31_14981751600_o img_0408_45389529744_o Spitfire-75th-Anniversary 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24862361154_o img_9410_42123279381_o img_2582_44650705155_o Caleta-y-Playa MM180007 img_9655_39633868361_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-19_26293511548_o Mezquita-30 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-38_37656644311_o 2g9a8467_32759662738_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-12_16265134410_o img_2317_29697091487_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-189_24674697198_o img_8833_24494271258_o img_4793_36982593233_o img_7239_34614697802_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-8_31527594841_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-15_29605156015_o img_2113_36765420450_o 2g9a9325_30063583971_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31349012321_o 2g9a7492_29750656781_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941928963_o 98812_29416767861_o fabin-picardo-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23578624704_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-45_20566245963_o Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
