Vistas de Gibraltar Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9364_48907565213_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-24_9222391229_o img_8497_20084674895_o untitled_panorama-12_19896764780_o img_4808_41146188104_o 2015-Penny-Black-175th-Anniversary 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-10_29360174011_o img_0564_22294385224_o img_4670_44297311730_o strongmen-201322_10019354643_o 2g9a1114_48952341577_o Monos-19 2g9a6827_48204069506_o a5f2801198b538a6ef6768746b489725 img_1179_36605141040_o 2g9a5935_48204606191_o img_2388_26972654888_o img_4566_48714144421_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-31_32141119365_o stormzy-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-27_44884691341_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-102_29494991242_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36996842312_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318391752_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-18_30282262534_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-27_30843113586_o img_5291_29370424902_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26586169962_o 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-16_26208744916_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-16_15513090671_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-02_20999207410_o 2g9a9902_27840054456_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_9109_26534058536_o img_4042_20871806700_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-61_20679525853_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22731398082_o img_4427_20512683036_o BP200031 2g9a8759_51680448787_o 2g9a8811_51680451082_o 7U3A9423 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-19-Ministro-Principal-y-Samantha-Sacramento commonwealth-baton-009_14700849404_o hms-scimitar-5-royal-navy_48859358278_o royal-gibraltar-police-3_48859709406_o
