A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_8423_20076596992_o img_0327_45202120685_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival06_14981555349_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival34_15165408491_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival43_14981642259_o img_8805_20115323756_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii91_21205962332_o 2g9a2026_49049240687_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373783_o img_1919_39604045112_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_26002404168_o Alameda-24 Mezquita-16 img_1806_36166462634_o img_9294_29944471667_o img_8950_38363737271_o_38310547666_o img_9771_44160762904_o img_0240_36479585495_o img_8070_42792486230_o img_0460_36433412066_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-9_30243940573_o img_0787_39737053385_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-18_30843305696_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354074563_o 2g9a9356_29447972026_o img_2210_36991629332_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484974911_o img_3723_36765432330_o 129921_28874476323_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29332687573_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27383403676_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-13 Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26431263262_o img_7751_21110548540_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3810_17977793726_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day39_15014931538_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4187_17816337168_o gib-cristal-1_20546959291_o img_4261_20352050508_o 2g9a8812_51681917224_o El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-13
