Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-368_22122319024_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_9901_43872626082_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival29_14981841908_o concierto-de-albert-hammond-7-noviembre-201404_15714587176_o img_2614_45564826141_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_2731_44650726015_o img_9910_20845446764_o 2g9a3019_49094441781_o 2012-Definitive-2012-Birds-of-the-Rock-Addition 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-14_23803344998_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-37_19285873774_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-40_19900974332_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-00_9224806444_o img_0061_41972488620_o img_4133_20841544324_o img_4263_21097539372_o 2g9a8813_48826246523_o Alameda-23 Alameda-28 alameda-gardens-13_38736725525_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-11 2g9a4598_48714142351_o 2g9a2051_48706413462_o img_1796_36605215030_o stormzy-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-21_44833877632_o dscf7876_30729838358_o img_9487_42792483980_o img_2370_43916503144_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-3_36334779573_o_36354892693_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318391752_o 2g9a5234_30961543205_o 2g9a7409_29720305742_o img_5140_28855039054_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-74 Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9647_27773228262_o img_4510_25643119295_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129248069_o 2015_09_14__0172_21432245191_o 2015_09_14__0207_21236827179_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-28_21112594800_o img_7759_20677520743_o Kingston-44 32.10-2021 2g9a8751_51681501963_o
