160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-573_22730749002_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9387_48908296392_o monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-08_9225077022_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar22_14989721515_o inmaculada-fotos-23112014-03_15473743523_o img_3321_33432745843_o img_3376_34112845901_o img_0308_45202118655_o hospital-de-campaa_49727126017_o img_0389_44297007750_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente29_12249214633_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_9654_25762520248_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24862363854_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131101253_o university-panorama-1_20845308694_o img_5367_48919601896_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876308421_o img_3908_45781930772_o img_9541_28250753598_o img_4111_31960315188_o 2g9a6690_48204068216_o img_4658_23521810498_o stormzy-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-27_44884691341_o img_7291_34736914446_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a9378_32228016271_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-13_31765982120_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32217922952_o 2g9a5169_30961436535_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-11_25326960339_o 2g9a9438_29481556675_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-29 000-crowning-dsc_0250_1_19250524429_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-06_15357849985_o img_2151_27703089695_o img_9115_26493987041_o img_4486_25347513290_o img_2940_24624557423_o img_2506_24997928321_o img_9228_25955130244_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3678_18004283585_o img_8903_50855055963_o BP200031 img_6375_20311865425_o 2g9a8762_51680448727_o
