A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-371_22557168260_o airport-18_39633898931_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-18_9222665493_o img_9882_43921152611_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9703084950_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_9002_20116472886_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii84_21205979132_o hospital-de-campaa_49727126392_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-30_28386230879_o university-5_39603887832_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201426_15623731465_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente28_12249606836_o 2g9a4963_48875161982_o 7u3a5753_49425351728_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL P1080670 img_2705_39633723751_o img_5337_48919072903_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-31_32754312037_o img_0122_45831060651_o img_9742_44160768174_o dscf7857_43693501485_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-139_38547035801_o img_0148_40383716880_o img_9007_38309220506_o_38310544776_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-8_30280656633_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-42_28979568994_o 2g9a9410_29373688782_o 102923_29388300872_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_26808903394_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27732841992_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-64 Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-13 img_9585_25956075843_o 000-a-dsc_6133_18816098103_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-01_16195952576_o 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-04_25498506532_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497013895_o 2015_09_14__0142_20801183844_o 1_7U3A4609 Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar.
