Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_27468212264_o monos-en-la-ciudad-20_9222307311_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar11_10382482325_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival19_14981726009_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival53_15167947472_o img_8806_20133531022_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466800206_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42848235142_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25756485862_o img_0495_22917053565_o img_2663_44650717615_o cervantes-10 2g9a0733_48806099696_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_004_12193762704_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-1_19563756932_o Monete-pequenin 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL img_8362_24765363557_o evacuation-monument-0489_27856102459_o st-michaels-cave-7_39633552141_o img_5427_48919810982_o 2g9a6797_48204161667_o img_4187_31960329188_o img_5430_42322426341_o img_2021_36849699502_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-64_32141123685_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-39_31531498562_o img_9547_36197417855_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-127_29494976272_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-128_29524265061_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-6_30828743591_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959236915_o img_9577_26533008366_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-56bn_20616247324_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. rueda-de-prensa-de-fabin-picardo-y-joseph-garca-en-bruselas_27187092956_o img_2764_24621614154_o img_2562_24475733154_o 2g9a0155_26856598152_o img_9247_26560106005_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497001795_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-81_20677918134_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day43_15198455231_o img_3794_20123856758_o img_4350_19918791263_o 7 rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue08_10967546535_o
