paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-14_9225069476_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_3332_33432743093_o img_0081_43872605462_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez08_12102571886_o festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar-25102014-32_15628305841_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival15_14277715229_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25851359676_o img_5319_34402457706_o 2019-Gibraltar-Romania-Joint-Issue img_0483_22498728747_o MM180007 lincoln-uefa-21072015-11_19721815199_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-30_19908523575_o img_4107_20921048099_o img_0128_43064737644_o 7u3a5747_49426041977_o 2g9a8844_48826627511_o cruise-liners-7_25762306798_o Monos-54 Monos-en-la-ciudad-16 Alameda-3 P1080592 2g9a4289_48230651791_o img_8149_30729847318_o img_3109_26064748057_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-140_38547051971_o img_1460_36213076273_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-155_38547045151_o 2g9a5212_30873134061_o 2g9a5318_30926031856_o 2g9a7231_29797865036_o 2g9a9271_28857828454_o img_9551_25954052774_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25399965241_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-4bn_21228486302_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-13_21000503549_o 2g9a1614_26964556140_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17504674391_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-65_9289034457_o 1119-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20520684168_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-02_17991991542_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-17_19558589118_o 32.7-2021 HMS Albion and RFA Lyme Bay leave Gibraltar 2g9a8758_51681914774_o BP200031 7u3a1275_51681244761_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-14
