This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_4881_41863375431_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-18_9222665493_o img_8868_20147019981_o img_5273_34402476996_o 7u3a9353_49597081913_o 1953-Serie-completa 7u3a6452_49454486021_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-02_13967081647_o img_2699_30623752887_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-07_9222039559_o 2g9a0395_48801429432_o strongmen-201309_10019337375_o 2g9a0891_48805746678_o strongmen-201335_10019267813_o strongmen-201348_10019183643_o gib-view-7_25761700688_o evacuation-monument-0491_24765693877_o st-michaels-cave-8_38925215754_o 2g9a4499_48714307747_o img_3844-1_45831048331_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_9547_36197417855_o img_5386_41421457375_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-102_22784234748_o img_3725_37163097255_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-35_30927270776_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732668982_o 2g9a9486_27839931766_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321358031_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-09_25249588469_o img_2526_25091224005_o 2g9a1614_26964556140_o gibraltar-national-day_007_9719775150_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-45_9289162733_o 7U3A4804 Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
