A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar22_10382482766_o img_8917_19520175794_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii53_21224373221_o img_8983_19954654288_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii66_21029598579_o img_7575_34925360743_o 2014-Evacuation-set 2015-RAF-Squadrons-IV 2g9a0505_26578912860_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-25_19574912381_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-26_14153731595_o strongmen-201304_10019468013_o 2g9a9839_50032156693_o 2g9a2020_49048528868_o Monos-2 Monos-58 WP_20140508_027 Mezquita-19 img_5036_48919805797_o 2g9a5901_48204604836_o img_5113_48919070043_o img_5201_48919808622_o img_1234_36605111830_o img_1717_43916396634_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-163_38490774156_o img_5453_41600438144_o img_0789_39910042831_o img_8934_24493383368_o_24494934698_o img_9102_38333470362_o_26590181719_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-14_31527587901_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-22_30927364656_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354082273_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-21_30879404915_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959249905_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26652408166_o miss-gibraltar-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23578622244_o 000-a-dsc_6141_19250538419_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_9046_25957174493_o img_2870_25225594906_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-82_21112727968_o Kingston-25 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3765_17977804736_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-10-RGP HMS Prince of Wales en Gibraltar
