180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral manifestacin-por-una-frontera-humanitaria-09_12360179453_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22557751520_o img_0126_20263917161_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23266244179_o colas-frontera-diciembre02_12348642235_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25492904535_o 7u3a9348_49597829132_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0145-bw_15253195529_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach 2g9a0868_48806238322_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-41_19913563571_o 7u3a5085_49336224738_o 7u3a5110_49336224203_o 2g9a1964_49048524558_o Monos-50 evacuation-monument-0472_39634009181_o P1080707 panorama-18_24765528797_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131074511_o img_4144_45831071571_o 2g9a4502_48713812328_o 7U3A2488 img_1635_43726052185_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-161_38490774926_o img_5405_41600469174_o img_9138_26588944419_o_38310539596_o img_8825_38334285862_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-48_28979565164_o img_2036_36833066376_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-96_25326898449_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_31991160210_o 98049_28871949794_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27799936156_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-42_21000558799_o a-dsc_5947_19436473725_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-28_15515850112_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-13_15171143560_o 2g9a9328_27262520843_o img_2868_24621227874_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-34_9289230229_o img_7605_20677700183_o img_7648_21272475626_o Kingston-20 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3858_17816605690_o cm-covid-vaccine-1_50887131158_o 2g9a8731_51681914979_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-31
