A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-14_9225069476_o gibraltar-en-el-cuarto-comit-de-la-onu_30271420747_o colas-frontera-de-gibraltar-11-noviembre-20144_15579289870_o img_0330_45202120175_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23242828801_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-hollie-buhagiar_9702980438_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_8954_19520140694_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii74_21028278750_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868058991_o img_7548_35347381260_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48720545263_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48720880561_o 2g9a0402_48800936978_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-05_12864621075_o 2g9a9555_50032626906_o 2g9a1096_48951597473_o 2g9a8856_48826250888_o bty img_4566_48714144421_o img_0138_45781933132_o img_9313_43969566055_o img_0816_39910044121_o img_3027_44603357171_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-57_31765985570_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-147_38547049871_o img_0262_36479577025_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-72_38547077171_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-129_29524262271_o el-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabin-picardo_37651611504_o 2g9a6015_31113345125_o_31001131071_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-96_29524283771_o 2g9a5326_22783101658_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-44_30661182000_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-22_30874491211_o 2g9a4679_30279140493_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-90_20566205963_o img_5973_25979428056_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day16_15014994008_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3833_17381654714_o img_6371_19917698973_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3863_18001031492_o BP200031 hms-sabre-7-royal-navy_48859908912_o
