desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_30577290937_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-13_9222302555_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 2g9a9886_48907832061_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_141347320_ios_22717478046_o img_0018_43016078775_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299239466_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar09_10382502366_o img_8776_20115367256_o 2014-RAF-Squadrons-III Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-34_28816039084_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0118_15439633672_o 2g9a4910_32174832740_o_31742371313_o 2g9a0297_48800934813_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843122612_o city-hall_25760947638_o img_0253_43064742354_o Monos-27 Monos-en-la-ciudad-26 P1080673 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-11 2g9a2051_48706413462_o img_5332_48919073073_o img_5409_48919073488_o img_3008_43693496915_o 7U3A2448 img_0741_26036930368_o 08-may-2017-19visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895398434_o img_0726_36479651235_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084551_o 2g9a7322_29750651971_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-05_23129304099_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off a-dsc_5788_19248973218_o The Gibraltar Music Festival 24-jun-2016-comparecencia-de-fabin-picardo-en-el-parlamento-de-gibraltar-tras-referndum-permanencia-ru-en-ue-11_27878395085_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-23_15515852032_o 2g9a9430_27839937656_o 2g9a1705_26964555830_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26431266172_o img_8989_24373422262_o 2015_09_14__0242_21235777948_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-35_20731680456_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-18_19125717393_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3625_17818049879_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3950_17817988549_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14168306644_o 7u3a6876_51343438769_o
