A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_8447_19896553330_o 7u3a9752_50032205128_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar26_14803026949_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22696886944_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9703145434_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299044466_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival51_15145308876_o img_0474_44296997650_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-14_17176680148_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii85_21216360865_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25492907175_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0145-bw_15253195529_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho10_14316103525_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente34_12249206373_o 2g9a8813_48826246523_o WP_20140508_033 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114461996_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114499018_o img_4107-1_45106518274_o img_9106_38333460332_o_26590181149_o 08-may-2017-9visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353153370_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026149781_o untitled_panorama1_36326678104_o img_2343_37163010205_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30656124973_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31093430340_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-74 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24286854364_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
