181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-49_26167984260_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-20_9222317571_o img_8490_19463661283_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16193441617_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23029564020_o img_3350_34112849451_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival36_15168396625_o img_0631_21409063798_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-24_24457980484_o 2g9a3036_49093921178_o 7u3a9332_49597827112_o 5-expo_frontera MM180007 2g9a8833_48826783982_o jebel-sahara-6-el-tte-garca-white-saluda-al-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar_23091623056_o american-war-memorial-7753_25762320768_o 2g9a0335_48800935673_o P1080663 2g9a0460_48801430082_o dscf7897_42790051630_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843324932_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-25_31754392720_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-28 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-25_34428542256_o img_9774_44160761014_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-76_29495004612_o img_3033_43693495555_o 2g9a5125_30961359425_o img_8022_42790064500_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876091821_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-72_38547077171_o 122253_29416810221_o img_3858_36326627434_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-2_24941103815_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-56_20999450618_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17503106775_o img_9236_26534105336_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250740340_o img_9157_26467815392_o img_3818_20898126976_o gibraltar-national-day_017_9719759128_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-01_16940677333_o 022_20124166310_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981603657_o 9516462859_802bde6d80_o rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue14_10967627786_o
