A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-05_9222287685_o monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-03_9225072732_o COLA GIBRALTAR 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar05_14915477871_o img_0376_44297009470_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_0531_44297152210_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-metro-motel_9703123916_o img_0537_45389674614_o img_8842_20147064531_o james-foot-en-la-galera-de-bellas-artes-de-gibraltar_17494996908_o img_8917_19520175794_o 7u3a9340_49597082033_o festival-literario-gibraltar17_10496865205_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976574495_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16199285850_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho18_14314253862_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-3_11213199744_o gib-view-5_38736598375_o Monos-34 2g9a2005_48705913803_o img_9202_24493827438_o_24494935818_o img_9570_31008278578_o 2g9a9469_32228028891_o img_0460_36433412066_o img_0495_35671083973_o 2g9a5994_30746320000_o_30747661050_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354066633_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-71_25326916309_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770633770_o 2g9a4504_30280745244_o img_2326_36326580144_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-53_30828719641_o 2g9a7209_29207186483_o 2g9a7377_29833275915_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-60_20564685354_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
