A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 20150911_132000208_ios_22754355641_o 20150911_150955226_ios_22122869803_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-36_17338550216_o 2014-Royal-Marines-350th-Anniversary Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 2g9a0736_48805743973_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions lincoln-uefa-21072015-02_19720524430_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843324932_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-14_18949660573_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-29_19720492588_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_15764251674_o img_0192_41972495360_o 7u3a0067_50032693926_o beaches-6_24765379447_o Monos-20 Monos-en-la-ciudad-20 Mezquita-7 st-michaels-cave-2_39603746752_o img_4090_48699831642_o img_0279-1_45106517334_o img_3866_30891441457_o img_1817_36605211090_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA img_8078_42790068550_o 2g9a5118_22782641768_o img_0132_40383723260_o 2g9a4666_30280753384_o img_3549_37604622506_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959238345_o img_8721_39877397052_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941931353_o img_4256_36329336034_o 129097_28874477453_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770651510_o 2g9a9267_29448114706_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-78 flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201424_15628237867_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9800_27773284012_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129265529_o img_4407_20351070548_o 6 7u3a1218_51682129885_o fabian-picardo2_9939590636_o rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue01_10967634866_o
