A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_151747393_ios_22743905015_o monos-en-la-ciudad-06_9225085646_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-762_22743716035_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216935692_o img_0041_43921148921_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-16_29439877675_o img_0702_20975985063_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870979302_o img_0510_22498866888_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-11_9224820414_o img_9506_41403112904_o visita-del-alcalde-de-la-lnea-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar_48954793092_o 2g9a2596_49085938683_o 7u3a5821_49425351433_o Monos-23 Monos-en-la-ciudad-23 2g9a5922_48204606271_o 2g9a4561_48713812813_o img_5210_48919808497_o 7U3A2449 img_8655_26036946918_o img_9217_38309484726_o_24494934938_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-8_36750962720_o_37027017721_o img_9455_36030360782_o img_0218_36342190891_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354043763_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354097203_o 2g9a9213_29519585924_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-28_29495048432_o 2g9a6060_30999748691_o_31001125971_o 2g9a5109_30659589650_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-114_29314611790_o 117824_28874446143_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-13_26330688633_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26074948123_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26431270372_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a1628_26964555950_o 2g9a0236_26346423543_o img_9137_26560009365_o img_8796_24454379266_o el-director-de-informativos-de-la-gbc-stephen-neish-entrevista-a-fabian-picardo_21431925281_o 7u3a1203_51681245061_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3625_17818049879_o Main-Street-Condes-de-Wessex-en-su-paseo-por-la-Calle-Real-4 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-2 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-10
