This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-9_24847004894_o cola-vehiculos-dentro-de-gibraltar-03_9222290345_o 4-oct-2017-cm-y-representantes-de-gibraltar-en-cuarta-comisin-de-naciones-unidas-12_37398295650_o img_3713_33402051354_o img_0022_43202810694_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar23_10382437804_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez05_12102582406_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii16_21029722339_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii35_21216478585_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii68_21028293510_o img_4750_44297339750_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho06_14311154114_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16360719866_o 2g9a2591_49086447311_o 2g9a8855_48826626981_o P1080724 2g9a4259_48230711192_o 2g9a4511_48714141591_o img_5150_48919069573_o dscf7876_30729838358_o 7U3A2465 img_3033_43693495555_o img_0684_39910036701_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026131231_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-28_30874575701_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876085191_o 2g9a9458_29192808720_o 129680_28874476973_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27758109451_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26613118981_o img_7856_24206820955_o img_3292_27839988486_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2015_09_14__0061_20801293864_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-49_9289137317_o EN-PRI1 Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
