A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23338443250_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551727711_o COLA GIBRALTAR img_3737_34086396972_o asher-moodie-reino-unido-_14034620715_o hospital-de-campaa_49727126117_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576702820_o img_4658_32242475118_o 7u3a9321_49597580026_o festival-literario-gibraltar06_10497159463_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876265061_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-03_12864564995_o heritage141_24764840957_o 2g9a2049_48706246021_o img_5240_48919070528_o img_9188_38364315021_o_37651611454_o untitled_panorama4_48714306892_o 08-may-2017-39visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895384554_o 20171214_155709_38346299864_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-14_31331052453_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-13_30801729144_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133111_o 2g9a4574_30827336691_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-56_28979560584_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876091671_o 2g9a7303_29750654571_o 2g9a9306_29373760242_o 2g9a9557_29447153566_o 104145_29388299792_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834006765_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-58bn_21051012298_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-47_21000555029_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-60_20564685354_o a-dsc_6021_19248878140_o salvas-celebrando-nacimiento-real-1_9351224775_o img_9137_26560009365_o img_3001_24624447813_o img_3795_20737659019_o img_7893_21298509575_o 7U3A4775 Portaaviones HMS Queen Elizabeth en Gibraltar 7u3a1203_51681245061_o image0_50824246658_o HMS Monmouth visiting HMNB Gibralatr escourted by HMS Scimitar and HMS Sabre, Gibraltar Squadron, Royal Navy fabin-picardo-ministro-principal-gibraltar-03_9222245357_o
