cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22557751520_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-364_22745084275_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 1_discurso-del-ministro-principal-en-la-cuarta-comisin-de-la-asamblea-general-de-la-organizacin-de-naciones-unidas_29825078980_o At 1500hrs on 28th May 2014 Spanish border controls at the Gibraltar-Spain frontier saw over one hour delays imposed on pedestrians. The restrictions were placed at a time when school children and tourist were crossing. At approximately 1630hrs the same restrictions were eased. colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191927990_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22957254039_o img_4822_41863368651_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival16_14461057861_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-02_17364510895_o img_5269_34313435051_o gibraltar-eslovaquia04_10967661733_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201428_15437731807_o strongmen-201373_10019008173_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-marcos-moreno-5_11213352993_o changing-of-the-guard-the-convent-0420_24765649497_o main-street-2412_27854807419_o evacuation-monument-0484_24765697027_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131154337_o img_5089_48919070388_o 2g9a8437_32759667488_o 2g9a8300_46581739082_o img_1231_36605116710_o img_1653_43726029775_o img_3108_40937805851_o img_0776_25762436127_o img_9057_38333196102_o_24494942398_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-35_32141133055_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-70_31765983200_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-1_36312449994_o_37027014831_o img_2348_37020625501_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-93_25326900619_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484976011_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-16_24823160332_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27834205265_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-37_24573482679_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201459_15789737016_o 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-06_25591012286_o 2015_09_14__0093_21236105208_o 2015_09_14__0271_21235455090_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-20_21274430186_o 7U3A4792 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14168244085_o ga_2335_20124011318_o img_4249_20352189508_o img_4350_19918791263_o THE EARL OF WESSEX VISITS HER MAJESTY’S NAVAL BASE fabin-picardo-ministro-principal-gibraltar-14_9222251883_o gibraltar-defence-police-3_48859710166_o
