conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590511160_o jardn-botnico-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar_22744206085_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 7u3a9772_50032204933_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-243_22122555674_o los-macacos-de-berbera-smbolo-inequvoco-de-gibraltar_22118329403_o 4-oct-2017-cm-y-representantes-de-gibraltar-en-cuarta-comisin-de-naciones-unidas-6_23803453418_o img_0308_45202118655_o img_0474_44296997650_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9703142988_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373543_o 26-julio-2014-partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-18_14753327324_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742375143_o gibraltar-eslovaquia02_10967407915_o 7u3a9458_49597578781_o gibraltar-eslovaquia17_10967496046_o 7u3a9477_49597827667_o 1_img_0107_42877252475_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-19_26293511548_o 2g9a1986_49048520743_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-04_23771648983_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-11 2g9a0293_48801427062_o img_1717_43916396634_o img_7983_42792487500_o img_0721_28129694239_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_9049_37650098404_o_26590185969_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-52_32141128905_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-1_31643380845_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084261_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565264255_o 101061_28874459253_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-69 Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-10_15354656291_o salvas-celebrando-nacimiento-real-1_9351224775_o img_2133_27424749470_o 2g9a2130_27207946506_o img_4496_25550460821_o img_2608_24479504673_o img_9098_25955083424_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201453210_o 2015_09_14__0264_21423534195_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
