desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_44604704645_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. las-bateras-defensivas-de-kings-bastion_22119002383_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. colas-coches-gibraltar-febrero-2014-2_12614309685_o img_3329_34202600996_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24862359554_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-66_28815982524_o img_0635_20975772363_o img_0545_22295985183_o 2g9a0424_48801429107_o 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-13_32513495316_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16360707986_o img_0091_43733181102_o img_4121_20921033569_o 7u3a5710_49426043357_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL 7u3a5792_49425348648_o img_5724_49085935953_o Monos-51 Alameda-5 main-street-19_25762192498_o 2g9a4208_48230718647_o img_1925_26967034628_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-46_31992468012_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-77_26771254289_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-62_32141124365_o img_0614_36479631175_o 2g9a5796_32383640900_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-37_29495042202_o 2g9a6118_31077414306_o_31114932055_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201407_15811536381_o 2g9a9917_27839929266_o img_9064_26467744852_o img_9221_26494044151_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26523590345_o 2g9a2130_27207946506_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-46_9289156889_o 2015_09_14__0020_21236011660_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24414617281_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno18_10967352243_o img_4065_21067448981_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day58_15178446766_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3757_18005040801_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-48 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-7 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-21 hms-sabre-8-royal-navy_48859711256_o
