This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. skywalk-gibraltar-11-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273841895_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23005985674_o img_3404_33432755993_o img_4827_40964775715_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival30_14463193632_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-09_17364148411_o img_2611_45564827331_o img_0685_21410198539_o 2g9a0601_26247169783_o festival-literario-gibraltar25_10496800925_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-1_15830022764_o strongmen-201334_10019190525_o 7u3a5793_49426044477_o cruise-liners-9_25762305848_o 2g9a2159_48706247486_o img_5339_40516053100_o img_2444_40800634882_o img_8673_39910047901_o img_0794_39737052685_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30623211394_o img_4259_36329340034_o 2g9a5218_22782885698_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565271965_o 122253_29416810221_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799754666_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23838987319_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-11_23388774212_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
