A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cola-peatonal-salida-de-gibraltar-23072015-01_19775841098_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703021694_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival33_14277805098_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26902335566_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions concierto-andrea-bocelli_48721053412_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-31_24457973174_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_005_12193338105_o proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_40689988385_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente26_12249610596_o 2g9a0889_48806101656_o img_4171_21107763295_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-17_15832477913_o 7u3a5713_49425346828_o 7u3a5733_49425345263_o heritage139_39603310212_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131095178_o img_5096_48919807952_o img_5315_48919808782_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-44_31992468222_o img_9494_35393029383_o img_9445_29664841817_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-62_29314654850_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-97_38515439102_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318391752_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354052533_o 2g9a6143_31077394946_o_31001137941_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354074993_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-103_30962789545_o img_2326_36326580144_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221947944_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845564012_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-60 Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a1678_26964557600_o gibraltar-national-day_019_9719756208_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-45_21112788448_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-43_17560537611_o 1_7U3A4660 img_4368_20545897241_o 32.10-2021 2g9a8800_51681246381_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-45 medio-ambiente-4-storm-petrel_48859908382_o
