160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-19_26168045560_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-5_25477573705_o 20150911_101420827_ios_22718451826_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-11_15881854262_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-15_9225485712_o img_0447_32242171468_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival05_14441412846_o img_0569_32242280238_o 2g9a0701_48806100076_o 2g9a4910_32174832740_o_31742371313_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente12_12249071185_o la-tv-alemana-zdf-graba-un-reportaje-en-gibraltar-michael-petch-zdf_25938054202_o Monos-16 img_1919_39604045112_o Mezquita-32 ragged-staff-2_27855465879_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131094733_o 2g9a5358_48726176816_o 20171214_155536_24195068347_o 2g9a0672_48919595861_o img_9978_42144388942_o img_4587_48713814718_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-3_31288267354_o img_4627_48714310452_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_32610429882_o img_1425_42824930770_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-45_25326933339_o img_5333_40516051010_o 100222_28874461723_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354088093_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27222307473_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845563192_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-60 Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9741_27874083955_o img_2949_25133062372_o 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-01_24990425393_o img_2743_25252276325_o 2g9a1633_26964556050_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-06_17995951681_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-35_17968797226_o Kingston-28 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3735_17381678084_o 7U3A4810 BP200031 img_4371_20530534682_o img_4462_19916143974_o 7u3a1275_51681244761_o
