This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23217113572_o img_3778_34086388882_o 2g9a0422_48800936828_o strongmen-201363_10019008905_o img_5755_49086658797_o P1080612 P1080654 P1080692 police-1_39604052952_o Southport-gates-4 2g9a4494_48714142106_o 2g9a6792_48204113356_o 2g9a8427_46581734622_o img_0135_45831060111_o img_3068_26064763047_o img_9556_44550413582_o img_2372_42825332890_o img_8652_39910045081_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331786134_o 2g9a5261_25325595389_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354097203_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-70_25326917089_o img_3778_36973639696_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-17_30874582671_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484972351_o 105774_29388297642_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
