A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3353_33432738523_o img_0082_43872604072_o img_0480_44297011370_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar25_10382639363_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 7u3a9373_49597828977_o 2019-Post-Go-Moon-Landings HMS-Forth-6 regiment-freedom-of-city-0130_15253269380_o 2g9a0349_48801427422_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-34_19570595395_o 2g9a0370_48801428382_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-09_12865025954_o img_4102_21438027406_o changing-of-the-guard-the-convent-0421_27856059379_o img_9675_21436926736_o american-war-memorial-7760_39633617661_o img_0227_43781202411_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-25 P1080780 2g9a0596_48919066938_o 2g9a6824_48204069131_o 2g9a4610_48713812648_o img_1436_29696619867_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-3_31299677854_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-76_38490783146_o 2g9a9174_29519227783_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-175_24674700828_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_26810216343_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-45 Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17316432278_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-07_15516256045_o 2g9a2122_26635255324_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26361656626_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457518911_o img_2954_21596347078_o 2015_09_14__0146_21423857985_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-17_21300696555_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-04_20571230899_o img_7793_21111707089_o 3219-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20086100274_o THE EARL OF WESSEX VISITS HER MAJESTY’S NAVAL BASE
