181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto 2g9a9415_48908302612_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40401094261_o monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-14_9222301695_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-150_22756640631_o 20150911_132729617_ios_22120633334_o desde-la-parte-alta-del-pen-se-divisa-frica_22725604802_o img_0316_45202119185_o 7u3a6492_49454717262_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_0667_21597211065_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868060931_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48721053562_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_41086233610_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-11_37656643921_o 2g9a0498_48800933293_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16386698925_o Alameda-11 P1080590 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-1 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-29 2g9a0580_48919065958_o 2g9a0644_48919807122_o img_5206_48919808592_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_41488509094_o img_9920_40383754930_o img_9077_24493758428_o_37651621644_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA el-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabin-picardo_37651611504_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-42_32022600381_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354044173_o img_0619_36479632685_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31349010271_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427334926_o 2g9a5856_31077416596_o_31001135681_o 2g9a9666_29372757102_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221932184_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417185165_o 2g9a0306_26345444944_o The Gibraltar Music Festival gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129264549_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470816456_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-31_17992043152_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar09_11312543473_o HMS-Pursuer2 z-image1_50825359081_o 23 Banderas
