A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0383_44297008790_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25851363566_o img_5161_34402434706_o img_6581_35154403340_o img_0678_21585796822_o img_0501_22294323544_o img_9930_21457133092_o 2g9a4955_48874427843_o 2g9a0245_48801426137_o 2g9a0962_48805747038_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16360719866_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente09_12249076335_o strongmen-201326_10019188594_o 2g9a1990_49049019801_o 7u3a5242_49336913567_o main-street-0430_24765683727_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131095178_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131153472_o img_5165_48919068503_o img_9837_31008295968_o 20171214_111137_24195069727_o img_8115_44550423542_o img_5449_40516024330_o img_0159_42144357202_o img_7277_34736891666_o img_9019_37650150094_o_37651623794_o 2g9a5796_32383640900_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026144571_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-4_29605162765_o 2g9a6049_31113406825_o_31001129811_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959235925_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959237725_o 108337_29207862560_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-35_24573490439_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-73_21161111236_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-11_15329586058_o 2g9a2895_27424754490_o img_1386_24977812605_o img_2907_21163491093_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-23_20135356464_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-25_16940453803_o 010-copy_20124219000_o
