Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech monumento-aeropuerto-_9225056926_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-09_9225093668_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9398_48907562338_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-213_22557449590_o default Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_0449_32242170628_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703002222_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-14_9225486542_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival02_15165301651_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach 2g9a0608_26817576496_o 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-18_32175361280_o 2012-Royal-Visit-of-TRH-The-Earl-Countess-of-Wessex alameda-gardens-14_38737340825_o 26-julio-2014-partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-01_14755670885_o heritage139_39603310212_o gibraltar-eslovaquia01_10967664513_o wellington-front0-2439_39634013641_o img_0192_41972495360_o cm-la-linea-panorama2_41421464965_o 2g9a4499_48714307747_o img_8974_38333039182_o_26590191719_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402219780_o 08-may-2017-7visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34737775245_o 08-may-2017-14visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353151830_o 2g9a5269_25325643969_o 2g9a5298_30659927820_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354078433_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28939791934_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-12_24573482099_o a-dsc_0256_19430366702_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening 2g9a9521_27596416500_o 2g9a1678_26964557600_o img_2768_25252236485_o img_1402_24951485276_o img_5990_25376580433_o img_8743_24186357450_o img_8846_23853615784_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-12_9289336665_o 2015_09_14__0153_21235782760_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-15_9222045653_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-31_17992043152_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22755955651_o 7u3a6907_51341976182_o
