A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar25_14800950239_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival25_14484559123_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-03_17157045617_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii51_21224378711_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii54_21028526438_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-64_28815987394_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25400098401_o 2g9a0833_48806238682_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868058991_o 26-julio-2014-partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-19_14569020119_o default img_8536_24765530367_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach 2g9a0723_48806099916_o evacuation-monument-0481_24765699027_o img_5158_48919069453_o 2g9a8339_32759671438_o img_4638_48714310412_o img_0265_45831069671_o img_4094_31960327078_o dementia-day-centre-panorama2_32308837186_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-163_38490774156_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-20_31980776402_o img_9547_36197417855_o img_9918_36082746620_o img_2157_36973623576_o 2g9a5375_25326027799_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876087291_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959236085_o 2g9a9271_28857828454_o img_9583_26532996406_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25197190150_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_24866075293_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_2129_27424750410_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-58_21300639695_o 19-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682450716_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day48_15014911278_o img_4323_20513593046_o 7u3a1290_51681244506_o 7u3a6914_51342695871_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-51-Samantha-Sacramento-Ministra-de-Igualdad
