A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299143366_o asher-moodie-reino-unido-junto-a-bailarines-de-la-mediterranen-dance-school-y-dance-academy_14033488074_o img_9919_21280098020_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576702820_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-03_14153902874_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-15_40133903232_o img_9482_28250761838_o 2g9a0441_26246345994_o img_8444_24765364217_o Mezquita-31 Punta-Europa-6 P1080725 2g9a4492_48713812583_o 2g9a6815_48204069306_o dscf7930_43693499335_o img_9368_43069202410_o img_9940_40383749500_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_9154_38333396962_o_24494938478_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-36_31299666194_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941941243_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978712796_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-12_26935101915_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36996842742_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-14_15171142540_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201405_15628570820_o 2g9a1622_27170661041_o img_9050_26287199510_o img_9079_26560084455_o img_2934_21784588945_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY 0519-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682449606_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-43_21300663485_o img_7885_21272256216_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-02_17991991542_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3765_17977804736_o Kingston-27 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981606780_o 7u3a1144_51681503823_o Main-Street-Condes-de-Wessex-en-su-paseo-por-la-Calle-Real-11
