181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9315_48908094571_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-636_22555091140_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar18_10382445414_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23029351580_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez22_12101849105_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival40_14277773730_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival39_14981811798_o university-panorama-2_21281104679_o cervantes-08 lincoln-uefa-21072015-06_19882274506_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-05_12864621075_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-1_15830022764_o img_9553_42077116982_o 7u3a9974_50032626861_o 7u3a5132_49336224073_o xmas-lights-010_39603728212_o untitled_panorama1_48705911238_o 2g9a5892_48204607036_o img_5212_48919808437_o img_4708_48714310862_o img_8919_38363821211_o_38310549076_o img_8026_30732455318_o img_4638_23521812868_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-78_38490782726_o 08-may-2017-12visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895405434_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071023_o img_9918_36082746620_o img_2126_36349098953_o 2g9a6098_30999556571_o_31078854596_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-96_25326898449_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-23_30280682513_o 2g9a7430_29205975844_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221948314_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-7_24847785431_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho14_14125083129_o 2g9a0286_26882485751_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24414617281_o img_2936_21161514104_o recepcin-de-la-conferencia-en-el-san-roque-club_21424140145_o 7u3a1297_51682129185_o 4319-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20699422712_o 20220910_21-GUN-SALUTE_141 BA200006 mr-albert-beiso-1_50825160241_o Condes-de-Wessex-Moorish-Castle-Estate-The-Royal-Family-Twitter-4 royal-gibraltar-police-3_48859709406_o rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue13_10967798743_o
