Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-603_22121871763_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703004352_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival02_14464521785_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_6607_34732161753_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373783_o thank-you-gha_49847142262_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-20_37623776142_o Royal-Engagement sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843225002_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-30_19570602945_o img_0091_43733181102_o img_0120_43733171462_o img_9497_27252725437_o 2g9a1146_48951598808_o 1_img_0123_43064738704_o 2g9a8779_48826248828_o ocean-village-1_38737480565_o Mezquita-9 alameda-gardens-6_39603355122_o 2g9a1738_48699831842_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131097303_o img_5354_48919072738_o dscf7806_43693487785_o img_4766_48713815658_o img_4233_36329335094_o rag-n-bone-man-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-14_43072429880_o 2g9a9219_29519585424_o img_9555_43884161204_o 2g9a6158_30306788763_o_31001136931_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-2_38627527620_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876087011_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978713276_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834023575_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026137011_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-35 9-feb-2016-simulacro-de-acidente-areo-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24888685826_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-55_20566237693_o 2015_09_14__0013_21397864156_o rueda-de-prensa-de-fabin-picardo-y-joseph-garca-en-bruselas_26614257874_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-19_21300693535_o el-director-de-informativos-de-la-gbc-stephen-neish-entrevista-a-fabian-picardo_21431925281_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4235_17816574300_o 7u3a6876_51343438769_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-22-Ministro-Principal
