Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar restauracin-cementerio-witham-26_25110013129_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22124560023_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22957510099_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299143366_o img_3398_34112866761_o img_3432_34243088545_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374457252_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466799236_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870139488_o La-verja-vista-desde-Gibraltar proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_40689988205_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente34_12249206373_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42178240204_o img_4094_20485244984_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-a-su-llegada-a-gibraltar_26293510508_o img_9603_41403088654_o img_0755_21408906080_o 2g9a2547_49086661332_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-38_37656644311_o 7u3a5862_49425349978_o 2g9a1997_49049018131_o img_5798_49086662107_o beaches-5_24765380957_o img_1917_39633888391_o 2g9a4206_48230719037_o img_0257_36311293012_o 2g9a4211_48230717867_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-44_29495037662_o stormzy-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-27_44884691341_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-87_29314632820_o img_5291_42275711632_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-30 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978715306_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-01_22868948264_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 000-a-dsc_6114_19440964201_o 2g9a0143_26856625502_o img_9031_23854864663_o img_4056_21067465481_o gibraltar-national-day_018_9716525615_o Kingston-40 img_4374_20530449722_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-marcos-moreno02_9717115699_o 2g9a6494_51343438704_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-04_19558580038_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3599_17977839366_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981602568_o
