A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0332_45389523654_o img_0092_43872556642_o img_0457_46063480522_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0165-bw_15253259780_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742372693_o strongmen-201358_10018989234_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42178229464_o img_0118_43733173002_o img_2692_44650711475_o 7u3a5713_49425346828_o The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5314_18816025803_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho07_14129452059_o 2015_09_14__0155_21397610976_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar04_11312473256_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-221_9716914757_o 7U3A4795 img_4412_20530154712_o 7u3a1202_51681916099_o Scouts-Condesa-de-Wessex-2 gibraltar-defence-police-2_48859357383_o
