A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191710408_o img_4010_16259926531_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-23_19901700590_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii25_21216501695_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868057431_o 2015-Penny-Black-175th-Anniversary 2020-Post-Go-VE-Day-75th img_0712_21570886096_o img_4623_31174602427_o festival-literario-gibraltar11_10496914725_o 2012-Gibraltar-Chess-festival-10th-Ann 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho04_14125139210_o 2g9a9533_50032088603_o img_5815_49085937868_o Punta-Europa-6 P1080780 2g9a2064_48705917398_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131072316_o 2g9a8412_46634161231_o img_4111_31960315188_o img_9634_44830743762_o nova-twins-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-119_44833876382_o img_1548_43725763105_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-71_38490770676_o img_5296_41600447044_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-64_29314653210_o 2g9a5909_30970849832_o_31001133611_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-12_30578376000_o 2g9a7460_29540582320_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27222138993_o img_9495_25954130954_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-3_24645632140_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-43_21187385505_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_9090_26467730832_o 2g9a0163_26951098325_o 2g9a0319_26677643880_o 2015_09_14__0064_20802901583_o img_7818_20675856754_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day29_15201159832_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-10_19559974049_o 7u3a1164_51681245591_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3948_17816349898_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981607920_o
