A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-162_22122656174_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-237_22745326245_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar07_14984514471_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23029351580_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703009186_o img_4812_41820474272_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival01_14464523455_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival28_14464548165_o foot-01_17495553878_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii30_20593813854_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-37_29151486800_o 7u3a6462_49454013618_o HMS-Forth-3 2g9a4968_48874960906_o strongmen-201379_10018967793_o 2g9a0400_48800937018_o Monos-52 2g9a0758_48805744573_o img_5242_48919601671_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976574495_o dscf7864_44550416152_o img_9715_21436852836_o 7U3A2454 2g9a5901_48204604836_o img_5380_41421454735_o img_1149_36166369564_o img_7278_34645022791_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a9400_32308846396_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-14_31331052453_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-4_36312449584_o_36997613432_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-1_30578381300_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455736482_o img_5066_29192366000_o img_9594_26558979865_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_3028_24883543399_o img_8366_21133776168_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-22_20571212519_o Kingston-14 fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22557048340_o 2g9a6454_51343714290_o Main-Street-Condes-de-Wessex-en-su-paseo-por-la-Calle-Real-3 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-4
