181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590498040_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-572_22556396570_o en-su-da-la-entrada-a-gibraltar-se-haca-por-esta-angosta-puerta-defendida-por-un-puente-colgante_22740280655_o img_0350_45389522814_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-olly-murs_9699875061_o gibraltar-music-festival-ministro-de-cultura_9699791669_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival33_14277927120_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival44_14484536873_o img_2686_45564842381_o 2016-Alameda-Gardens-200th-Anniversay 2019-Gibraltar-Romania-Joint-Issue ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho09_14314268312_o img_0836_21410248259_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-16_11213254726_o 7u3a9601_49901121892_o 7u3a5743_49425344783_o 7u3a5069_49336225053_o P1080665 P1080670 img_5282_48919071633_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-32_47697575171_o 2g9a8410_46581735372_o img_4110_31960326808_o dscf7897_42790051630_o scounting-for-girls-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-16_43072422790_o img_1515_44635096401_o img_1540_43916089424_o img_3068_26064763047_o 4-europort-avenue_23521829068_o 2g9a9364_32308848286_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354066633_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-13_34309881442_o 2g9a6151_30306797643_o_31114931355_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-78_30927239056_o 2g9a7389_29833263405_o 130447_29496691285_o img_5157_29190831610_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-09_23497283285_o 000-a-dsc_6083_18813941704_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_2723_25133880982_o 2g9a0147_26882584271_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-57_9289089213_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470800596_o 2015_09_14__0071_21432403571_o img_7800_21110712218_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar23_11312532083_o
