horadelplanetagibraltar6_13495524245_o nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_27801494020_o 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-45_26414903026_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22122902684_o gibraltar-recibe-anualmente-ms-de-7-millones-de-turistas_22552336950_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-237_22745326245_o COLA GIBRALTAR img_3326_34202601286_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-yasmin-levy-mediterranean-andalusian-orchestra-ashkelon-33_9225505310_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez15_12102549656_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez01_12102595906_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699823795_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival37_14441432176_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii15_21216534915_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii88_21205969132_o HMS-Forth-9 2g9a0251_48801280246_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho19_14292936086_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876475721_o img_4161_20920976629_o 7u3a5840_49426046697_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-34 P1080590 commonwealth-park-17_24765491067_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-19 2g9a5959_48204605336_o 2g9a4556_48713813018_o img_0276_45106514584_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA img_7978_43690950655_o 2g9a9165_30063591511_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318398272_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-7_25566929267_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-27_30874576241_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331782354_o 2g9a4637_30879135326_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026135481_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-6_30828772791_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26128568356_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-85_21000522449_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321358031_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129264549_o 19-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20520698590_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3674_17383762783_o El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-11
