nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_27801530840_o conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40401121821_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. southport-gates_22552287390_o img_4801_26995114627_o img_9959_42111995300_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez34_12102472086_o el-director-de-la-galera-gino-sanguinetti-i-y-james-foot_17683420565_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466796986_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26902337206_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-84_29151405440_o img_5221_34313394031_o 7u3a9460_49597578731_o img_2630_44650698775_o 2016-Pillar-Boxes jebel-sahara-sobre-el-terreno-7_22699279407_o img_0704_21597161645_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho04_14125139210_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_28095556259_o img_5745_49086658872_o visita-del-alcalde-de-la-lnea-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar_48954055458_o img_3472_39603001962_o Alameda-21 P1080600 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-23 img_3987_48699831597_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131076236_o 7U3A2442 img_1542_29696563557_o img_1746_43726062115_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_39182283384_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354088183_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-67_25326919029_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-5_30846389752_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-43_30880576646_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-08_22868970364_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-4bn_21228486302_o Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
