A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_9997_43921118341_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival12_15145453526_o 7u3a6487_49454013093_o 2015-Christmas-2015 img_0541_22891162916_o gibraltar-estonia-marzo-2014-2_12956397774_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165194224_o img_4087_21081702946_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-2_16265119990_o img_9652_41222375555_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-00_9224806444_o 2g9a2066_49049014481_o img_0172_29910432278_o Trafalgar-6 P1080674 2g9a4288_48230652136_o img_0221_30891444117_o dscf7819_42790063290_o img_1159_36861637871_o img_5406_42322450981_o img_9841_31008298238_o 2g9a5737_32763866525_o img_0775_39737055865_o 2g9a6151_30306797643_o_31114931355_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-4_36312449584_o_36997613432_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-79_30846266952_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071893_o 2g9a4602_30827332351_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-9_30800441002_o 2g9a7450_29205957344_o 124296_29462632706_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25399964911_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-2_24941103815_o img_2866_24956276590_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2015_09_14__0020_21236011660_o 2015_09_14__0108_20801225944_o 2015_09_14__0241_21412702822_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno04_10967187986_o img_7624_21306911891_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-07_17372611804_o danny-ale9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14165525572_o Kingston-28 AL200023 img_4310_20351842578_o BP200031 PRMC Personnel getting COVID Vaccine
