Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar restauracin-cementerio-witham-31_25477577925_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9405_48908089521_o 20150911_132846516_ios_22717070536_o un-crucero-anclado-en-el-puerto-de-gibraltar_22118659433_o GIbraltar Citizens Advice Bureau office launch "Here to Help" cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-14_19468680413_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar20_10382441824_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival05_14981717367_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374456202_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-39_28818233863_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-92_28815932014_o 2g9a2951_49094440701_o 7u3a9394_49597079773_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-12_19908488815_o jebel-sahara-2-el-cnel-cte-badr-entrega-una-placa-al-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar_22725318789_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-11_14755684515_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201406_15624544042_o 2g9a1105_48951599463_o superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-11_15634520785_o 7u3a5793_49426044477_o jumpers-bastion-2_39633998981_o 2g9a8465_46634158961_o 2g9a4645_48713813593_o img_2320_44635535101_o img_9442_44603354541_o img_0209_35644250144_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-114_38515437742_o 2g9a5065_30925479516_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a5277_25325659229_o img_2271_36349050153_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-12_30800466302_o 2g9a9486_29447206866_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26128564936_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25374327352_o 2g9a2031_26964556300_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-19bn_21212673716_o img_9210_25955142334_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_8941_24372227662_o Portaaviones HMS Queen Elizabeth en Gibraltar celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-10_9224812532_o 7U3A4853 mr-albert-beiso-1_50825160241_o 23 HMS Prince of Wales en Gibraltar 31 rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue06_10967735704_o
