A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-610_22555049020_o monos-en-la-ciudad-16_9225082554_o default Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 el-telefrico-o-cablecar-es-la-forma-ms-cmoda-de-subir-a-la-parte-alta-del-pen-de-gibraltar_22116882144_o los-escalones-del-mediterrneo-suben-desde-la-ciudad-a-lo-ms-alto-del-pen-de-gibraltar_22118571933_o img_3414_33432754253_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival30_14463193632_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-10_17176691428_o 2g9a3023_49093921553_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870672176_o strongmen-201302_10019364494_o 2g9a0847_48806238537_o 7u3a5286_49336228403_o 2g9a0849_48806238492_o Trafalgar-10 Alameda-27 P1080696 Punta-Europa-26 img_4539_48714143481_o img_4612_48713815313_o img_0108_45831061051_o img_1716_36861706981_o img_7183_33968365653_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354043763_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354053363_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354077343_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_31949827823_o 2g9a5373_30961938615_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-5_30962852395_o 2g9a7225_29797865636_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275183410_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_24866074443_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-50bn_21228482942_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
