2g9a9416_48907569188_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-182_22731838852_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3404_33432755993_o img_4853_41820471262_o img_0490_32242281998_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival39_14277745239_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-67_29439803515_o 2g9a8355_48874549448_o img_2673_45564845121_o Monos-33 2017-Accession-65th-Anniversary-Sapphire-Jubilee-set commonwealth-park-7_27855892219_o img_0758_21409102358_o P1080699 2g9a0348_48801281481_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-2 2g9a0895_48805746648_o ragged-staff-1_38924967114_o 2g9a4643_48714308962_o img_1197_36605132990_o img_1722_43726063965_o img_2362_39948487535_o el-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabin-picardo_37651611504_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-33_31299667234_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354080623_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-41_29495039572_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-80_30962798645_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-8_30661245820_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876090221_o a-dsc_5450_18814138884_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth01_14164440701_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a0336_26882454751_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_2743_25252276325_o 2g9a2033_27170661271_o img_8835_24454366056_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497001795_o EN-PRI1 gibraltar-national-day_015_9716529835_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day25_15178525586_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day41_15014926778_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar02_11312504174_o Kingston-35 001_20286091096_o 7u3a6904_51343439024_o Condes-de-Wessex-Justine-Picardo-Ministro-Principal-Alcalde-Christian-Santos
