A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22756856091_o 7u3a9752_50032205128_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-24_20095125091_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar12_10382497846_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival25_14981861847_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival52_15145305816_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868058401_o 7u3a9348_49597829132_o img_9834_20845503514_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16199285850_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-03_12864564995_o 1_img_0123_43064738704_o 7u3a5827_49425820421_o 2g9a8802_48826247388_o img_5784_49086442546_o 2g9a8843_48826251773_o img_7504_38925219504_o commonwealth-park-18_27855803939_o st-michaels-cave-5_38925211624_o 2g9a8355_46634162771_o img_3544_36982597593_o 24-04-2017-desfile-de-la-libertad-de-la-ciudad-de-los-royal-engineers-7_34113616621_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354092753_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-7_30846320482_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978713046_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876090451_o 2g9a7389_29833263405_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28939790344_o img_5156_28855007944_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26073157754_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-12bn_21052079579_o 2g9a0306_26345444944_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_9168_26494067821_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26361656626_o img_2743_25252276325_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-61_9291841434_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-72_9291760190_o 2015_09_14__0133_20802807083_o img_3951_20437533134_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-212_9716927827_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-15_19560004679_o Kingston-22 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3754_17816384608_o 1_7U3A4563 7u3a6878_51342923098_o 20220911_21-GUN-SALUTE_143
