A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a5168_49471989167_o_49482619793_o-1-scaled nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28082129415_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-579_22718232806_o 2g9a9307_48908301167_o 7u3a9776_50032204973_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-676_22730312622_o img_3374_34086335542_o 1_discurso-del-ministro-principal-en-la-cuarta-comisin-de-la-asamblea-general-de-la-organizacin-de-naciones-unidas_30084983446_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868057431_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries. Among the singers were Greeks, French, Israeli, Spanish, Irish and Gibraltarian singers, flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201404_15813424025_o img_3266_27596445770_o img_2950_24620690124_o 2g9a0164_26882537631_o img_9050_26287199510_o 2015_09_14__0228_20802571573_o gibraltar-national-day_018_9716525615_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno35_10967180796_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22731389482_o img_4374_20530449722_o Royal Gibraltar Regiment Soldiers guaring HMS Albion HMS Prince of Wales en Gibraltar
