Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. airport-0430_24765628787_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar16_10382492136_o img_0531_44297152210_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez26_12101834445_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576702420_o img_6633_35502332656_o img_2635_45564819441_o 2g9a0210_48801280746_o 2g9a0409_48801429222_o 5-expo_frontera lincoln-uefa-21072015-41_19913563571_o 2g9a2617_49085934638_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL 2g9a2034_49049027861_o Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-9 alameda-gardens-2_38736726785_o Punta-Europa-4 2g9a5935_48204606191_o img_5315_48919808782_o 2g9a5964_48204605241_o dscf7910_42790067480_o 2g9a4672_48713814483_o img_1531_44635088401_o img_7967_44600544301_o img_1042_36599994636_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-25_30280681093_o 2g9a7246_29720276202_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275185400_o 124296_29462632706_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732675472_o fabin-picardo-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23838993809_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-05_23129304099_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off a-dsc_5814_18815910063_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201452_15628234217_o img_2692_24625404233_o img_9169_26560144995_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201449510_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno07_10967187206_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
