Can the Commission clarify why it announces the dates of its factfinding missions to Gibraltar in advance?

The Commission has announced the dates of its factfinding missions to the crossing point of La Línea de la Concepción to ensure the presence and full cooperation of the relevant national authorities involved in the management of the SpanishGibraltar border on both sides and to ensure the access of the Commission experts to all premises.
However, the Commission reserves the right to carry out also an unannounced visit, if need be.
