colas-frontera-diciembre02_12348642235_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_3403_33432756613_o img_9327_42112034220_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival07_14441263236_o 7u3a9405_49597579341_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_5304_33601839324_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_32513356486_o 7u3a6487_49454013093_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42896444541_o HMS-Forth-8 img_9764_21457259852_o 2g9a0727_48806237582_o 2g9a0360_48801282456_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-02_13967081647_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-28_37623774112_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-3_11213199744_o img_9432_42123275541_o 2g9a9693_50032952867_o img_9677_20840449684_o 2g9a2558_49086448071_o img_9715_21436852836_o img_4066_48699321853_o 7u3a0161_50032952942_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131155967_o img_5442_48919073218_o img_2317_29697091487_o img_2433_26972639258_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318388382_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354078283_o 2g9a6029_30306933983_o_31078855546_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-33_30828730931_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-65 tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-26_15513087691_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War.
