160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-46_26440831475_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-616_22555015090_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-368_22122319024_o img_0043_43202820544_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival06_14981555349_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival38_14981730250_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii13_21216539545_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii27_20593820834_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii34_21206095472_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-32_24457971934_o 2g9a0550_26757794462_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742375143_o cervantes-11 repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870672176_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_013_12193573503_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201437_15623712505_o 7u3a5079_49336224918_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-8 commonwealth-park-4_39603768962_o dav 2g9a0594_48919596876_o 2g9a8418_32759668068_o img_0313_31960327978_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-16_34309882402_o img_1780_36605216850_o 2g9a9193_29852396340_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a5961_30746302890_o_30747661200_o img_3547_36982596533_o 2g9a5364_30845260892_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-2_37148809895_o_37027014631_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-23_30962841425_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134211_o 2g9a9410_29373688782_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026137531_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941941903_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-98_29524282471_o investidura-adolfo-canepa-como-nuevo-alcalde05_13581211733_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25920733813_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-10_17373144728_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day07_15198561321_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-22 royal-gibraltar-police-5-sir-francis-richards_48859906897_o
