The restrictions were placed at a time when school children and tourist were crossing. At approximately 1630hrs the same restrictions were eased. 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar10_14964625206_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar27_14803167427_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699832013_o img_9897_43921150091_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival14_14441458226_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival26_14277760389_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival32_15168025342_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_9026_20134649532_o img_5338_34284284592_o university-30_39633681121_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201437_15623712505_o img_4203_20919800278_o 2g9a0895_48805746648_o 2g9a1098_48952140926_o bayside-panorama2_48800933388_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-11 2g9a0901_48806236947_o 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-15 2g9a0903_48806239187_o img_2931_44603393641_o img_9405_42123217571_o img_1520_43725783175_o 2g9a5892_48204607036_o 2g9a9372_32228016691_o img_1143_36166372264_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-3_31299677854_o img_2023_36212886323_o 2g9a5834_32763867525_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-98_29524282471_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-9_30661244850_o 2g9a4504_30280745244_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-16_30880595936_o 127753_29416792321_o img_5049_28856437654_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25551867193_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_9098_25955083424_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201425_15813420385_o img_9084_25955091144_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201448_15193455604_o img_2914_21772532782_o 2015_09_14__0219_21235843998_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-217_9716921083_o
