Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 7u3a6897_49471988187_o_49483317432_o-1-scaled paisajes-la-bahia-gibraltar-03_9225017740_o 20150909_091708122_ios_22756772391_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar02_14987249212_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23325344425_o concierto-de-albert-hammond-7-noviembre-201409_15553116737_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-05_9225432824_o img_8967_20148341271_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_6815_34732165413_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201406_15624544042_o festival-literario-gibraltar05_10496980584_o 2g9a0386_48801428157_o La-verja-vista-desde-Gibraltar 2g9a0402_48800936978_o img_4203_21276167750_o 2g9a0869_48805745493_o img_9638_21452266832_o 2g9a0905_48806239117_o 7u3a9620_49900813301_o img_5829_49086445381_o cruise-liners-9_25762305848_o P1080795 2g9a4513_48714140426_o img_0304_45831074471_o img_1740_36193472203_o img_1654_43726028005_o 20171214_163809_24195066997_o img_9092_38333502812_o_24494940788_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-101_37830945934_o 24-04-2017-desfile-de-la-libertad-de-la-ciudad-de-los-royal-engineers-9_34113615721_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959237535_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221937214_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-80 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25125251449_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24206824235_o 2g9a2031_26964556300_o img_2952_24624530393_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
